The art of translation involves so much more than simply knowing a language. Beyond possessing fluency and a thorough knowledge of the specialized vocabulary that is unique to the given field, the translator must be able to effectively reproduce the tone and register of the source text while maintaining its readability. I realize the importance of conveying meaning rather than just words when producing a target text and am diligent and meticulous in my approach.
